Hidrolato Azahar Bio Topic - Terpenic

Hydrolate is the water obtained from the steam distillation of the flowers of Citrus aurantium is bitter.

Also called Neroli in honor of a noblewoman from the population of Nerola ((Italy) who felt a passion for the fragrance of the essential oil of the flowers the Bitter Orange ((Azahar)) coming to mark a trend among the high society of the time.

Before this it was already highly appreciated by the Arab nobility of Al-Andalus forming the main part of the decoration of the famous gardens of their palaces bringing the sweet and intense fragrance of its aroma and also for its position its influence on Spanish gastronomy.

Characteristic features

The hydrolates containn all the water-soluble substances in the distilled part and also contains the trace elements found in the plant of origin.

Appearance: clear, colourless transparent without lumps or filaments.

The pH is 3.5 to 6.2. It contains a small percentage of Linalol, Limonene, Betapinene, Transbeta-Ocimene, Trans-Farnesol and Nerolidol (less than 2%).

Because of these almost homeopathic concentrations it is a preferred choice in pediatrics, pregnancy and lactation in the world of therapy.

It brings a sense of calm and peace. It is indicated in states of shock, grief, occupational exhaustion, chronic fatigue, insomnia, adjuvant in hypertension, menstrual disorders, menopause.
