Like all cymbopogons, Java citronella comes from Indonesia and has large, narrow leaves and linear stems and inflorescences. Citronellas are large perennial herbs that grow wild or are cultivated in tropical regions like Java and Sri Lanka.

Their fresh, green, lemony odour resembles that of melissa,for which they are sometimes used as substitutes.

Traditionally known for its properties :
� percutaneous anti-inflammatory � average antibacterial � fungicide � deodorant and atmospheric antiseptic � mosquito repellent.
Special precautions :

- Keep out of reach of young children.
- Does not replace a balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle.
- Do not exceed the recommended dose.
- Unless medical or pharmaceutical advice, not to use during the pregnancy and breast feeding and in the child of less than 3 years.
- Keep out of heat and light.
Professional advice:

External : 3 drops CTEO + 3 drops hazelnut oil massaged on painful areas and along the spine.

To repel mosquitoes, by diffusion or on exposed limbs, applied three times after 4 p.m.

Difuser: 2 drops of citronella of Java and 2 drops of Egyptian geranium on the collar of pyjamas or apillow keep all mosquitos at a distance during the summer.
