Originally from the Middle East, Arab doctors used it in the year 1000.
During the Middle Ages, Avicenas reports its anti-pasmodic and digestive properties.Its current fame is due to its effectiveness in eliminating intestinal gases and fermentations as well as menstrual pain.
Essential oil is widely used in aromatherapy for its neuromuscular, antiviral and anti-allergic anti-pasmodic properties.

Traditionally known for its properties:
